Funka in a panel at the European Internet Inclusion Initiative conference in Brussels
Funka has been assigned by the European Commission, EC, to develop the methodology to measure web accessibility in all EU member states ahead of upcoming legislation. Now Funka’s CEO, Susanna Laurin, will be on a panel discussing web accessibility at the European Internet Inclusion Initiative (EIII) conference on September 18 in Brussels.
The event will feature benchmarking results of European public sector websites as well as panels for policy-makers, users, and technical developers on the status of web accessibility and how to improve it. Susanna Laurin will share Funka’s experiences in working with the study SMART 2014/0061 Monitoring methodologies for web-accessibility in the European Union. The assignment includes mapping existing national methods, analyse and compare them using standardised testing, in order to develop a European methodology for web accessibility.
